WILKES-BARRE, PA (August 6, 2025) -- After a successful playing career, Sean Lavine is set to return to the King's College football program this fall as announced by Head Coach Mike Cebrosky as the tight ends coach in 2025.

"I am excited for this opportunity to return as a coach at my alma mater," said Lavine. "I'm looking forward to being able to contribute to the winning culture here at King's College."

Lavine is coming off a strong career with the Monarchs, earning All-MAC Second Team honors as a defensive lineman in 2024. Throughout his career, Lavine appeared in 23 games making 48 total tackles, including 15 solo, 8.5 tackles for a loss of 37 yards, 6.5 sacks for a loss of 33 yards, and added two pass break ups and a fumble recovery. Last season as a graduate student, Lavine made 32 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks, including a career-high five in both the wins over Alvernia and FDU-Florham, as he helped lead the Monarchs to their first outright MAC title in program history and a win in the NCAA Division III Football Championships First Round over Ursinus at McCarthy Stadium.

He also earned MAC Academic Honor Roll recognition twice throughout his career and was inducted into the National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society as a member of the class of 2025.

"Coach Lavine embodies all traits that we look for in a coach to be a part of our King's College football program," stated Cebrosky. "He brings with him a work ethic and a mental toughness that will help grow our tight end position to great heights."

Lavine earned his Bachelor's degree in history secondary education in 2024 from King's and is currently pursuing his Master's of Education in curriculum and instruction.
