Women's Tennis Opens Spring Slate With Loss at Susquehanna

Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, PA (March 1, 2026) -- The King's College women's tennis team made their first appearance of 2026 on Sunday afternoon, falling 7-0 in their duals match with Susquehanna University at the Central PA Tennis Center. The Monarchs drop to 0-3 on the season while the River Hawks level their record at 4-4.
 
Carlee Dellose put up a strong battle at No. 1 singles against Alexa Wanamaker, falling 6-4 in the first set before going the distance in the second frame and forcing a tiebreaking point. Wanamaker clinched the tiebreaker to take the second set, 7-6.
 
At No. 2 singles, Betsy Allen fell to Kaiya Reisinger 6-1 in consecutive sets. In her bout with Masey DiBastiani at No. 3 singles, Kimberly Dinh secured three points in her first set and two in the second, but fell 6-3 and 6-2.
 
Allison Van Pelt dropped her No. 4 singles match to Katie Yoder, 6-1 and 6-0. At No. 5 singles, Miley Caetano surrendered a pair of 6-0 results to Claire Gallagher. Madeline Sirianni wrapped up singles action at the No. 6 slot with an 8-0 loss to Nanci Major.
 
Dellose and Dinh took the court for No. 1 doubles, suffering a 7-5 setback to Wanamaker and Mackenzie Romig. The duo of Allen/Caetano dropped a 6-0 decision to DiBastiani and Amelia Maguire at No. 2 doubles. Van Pelt and Sirianni concluded the day's action at No. 3 doubles by yielding a 6-0 result to the Yoder/Major pairing.
 
The Monarchs return home to Kirby Park for their spring home opener on Saturday, March 21 for a meeting with Alvernia University. First serve against the Golden Wolves is set for 1:00 p.m.
