NEWTOWN, PA (April 20, 2026)--The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) office unveiled the 2026 MAC Freedom Men's Golf Pre‑Championship Coaches' Poll on Tuesday morning, with the King's College Monarchs selected seventh heading into this weekend's championship at Iron Valley Golf Club.
Stevens earned the top position in the poll with 47 points and six first‑place votes as the Ducks look to extend their conference title streak to six in 2026. Arcadia followed in second with 41 points and one first‑place vote, while Lebanon Valley secured third with 37 points and the final first‑place nod.
DeSales collected 31 points to land fourth, and Delaware Valley checked in at fifth with 23 points. Misericordia was voted sixth with 21 points, placing just ahead of King's, while FDU‑Florham rounded out the poll in eighth with 11 points.
King's will send a five‑player lineup to Lebanon this weekend, featuring a mix of returning championship experience and first‑time competitors.
Brendan Percey returns for his second MAC Freedom Championship after placing 32nd last spring. His low round of the 2025‑26 season was a 78 on March 29 against Wilkes, a performance that earned him MAC Freedom Men's Golfer of the Week honors.
Cameron Jones, making his third appearance, finished 37th a year ago and tied for 31st in 2024, posting his season‑best round of an 81 on April 8 versus Misericordia.
Three Monarchs will make their championship debuts:
Jeremy Layland, who recorded a season‑low 76 on September 16 against Scranton;
AJ Borchert, whose best round was a 77 on September 18 against Wilkes, and
Conner Smigielski, who fired an 81 on April 17 against Lycoming.
The 2026 MAC Freedom Men's Golf Championship will be held April 25-26 at Iron Valley Golf Club in Lebanon, PA.
