2026 CSC Academic All-District Men's Track & Field

Monarchs Place Five on CSC Academic All-District® Men’s Track & Field Team

WILKES-BARRE, PA (June 23, 2026) -- The King's College men's track and field team placed five student-athletes on the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team, marking the final CSC Academic All-District® release of the academic year. Tyler Bird, Owen Foytack, Daniel Mattey, Cody Miller and Brady Rutkoski each earned recognition for their combined performances in competition and the classroom.
 
Bird collects his first CSC Academic All-District® selection after a productive sophomore season in the javelin. Bird posted a season-best mark of 52.81 meters at the King's College Monarch Invite - where he claimed a first-place finish - and competed at the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Outdoor Championships. A health and physical education major, Bird concluded the academic year with a 3.56 cumulative GPA.
 
Foytack earns his fourth CSC Academic All-District® honor following a standout graduate campaign. Foytack captured the MAC Indoor Championship title in the mile while also competing at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships and finishing 20th overall. He earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors in both the mile and as a member of the distance medley relay, while also recording top-50 indoor marks in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the mile, 800 meter, 3,000 meter and the distance medley relay. Additionally, Foytack set a program record in the indoor 3,000 with a time of 8:34.85 at the Nittany Lion Challenge. The physician assistant graduate posted a 3.67 cumulative GPA.
 
Mattey secures his first CSC Academic All-District® recognition following a strong sophomore season in the throwing events. Mattey competed in both the shot put and weight throw at the MAC Indoor Championships while participating in the discus and hammer throw at the MAC Outdoor Championships. He capped his season by earning top-50 rankings in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the shot put, discus and hammer. A pre-physician assistant major, Mattey compiled a 3.96 cumulative GPA.
 
Miller earns his first CSC Academic All-District® honor after contributing as a jumper and sprinter for the Monarchs during his junior indoor season. Miller competed in the high jump at the MAC Indoor Championships and set a new personal best in the 400 meter with a time of 57.96 at the Alvernia Rust Buster. He also secured a top-50 ranking in the Mid-Atlantic Region in the high jump. The sports management major finished the year with a 3.55 cumulative GPA.
 
Rutkoski makes his first appearance as a CSC Academic All-District® selection after a strong sophomore campaign in the throwing events. Rutkoski competed in the shot put and weight throw during the indoor season before participating in the shot put, discus, hammer and javelin during the outdoor campaign, setting personal bests in all four events. Rutkoski capped his season competing in the hammer at the MAC Outdoor Championships. He earned top-50 rankings in the Mid-Atlantic Region in both the indoor weight throw and outdoor hammer throw. An exercise science major, Rutkoski posted a 3.91 cumulative GPA.
 
The 2026 Academic All-District® Men's Track and Field/Cross Country teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's track & field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
