WILKES-BARRE, PA (June 30, 2026) -- With the summer officially underway, the King's College men's and women's track and field programs have announced the addition of Josh Colley as an assistant coach, as head coach Mike Kolinovsky continues to build the Monarchs' staff ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Â
Colley brings collegiate coaching experience and an accomplished competitive background to Wilkes-Barre. From 2018 to 2020, he served as an assistant coach for cross country and track & field at Penn State Behrend, where he worked with sprinters, hurdlers, and horizontal jumpers. In that role, he was responsible for designing and implementing training programs, assisting with recruiting, and supporting overall program operations.
Â
During his time at Behrend, Colley helped develop five NCAA All-Americans, multiple conference champions, and national qualifiers, while contributing to a 2019 conference championship team. He was recognized for his efforts as the USTFCCCA Mideast Region Assistant Coach of the Year in 2020.
Â
Prior to his time at Penn State Behrend, Colley served as an assistant track & field coach at the University of Scranton from 2017 to 2018, where he was part of the inaugural coaching staff responsible for launching the program. He assisted with recruiting, practice planning, and meet preparation while working with sprinters and jumpers.
Â
"We are thrilled to add Josh to the coaching staff," said Kolinovsky. "We are looking forward to Josh helping our program reach the next level."
Â
In addition to his coaching experience, Colley has competed at a high level as a post-collegiate athlete. From 2018 to 2025, he competed as a professional long jumper, earning a third-place finish at the 2019 USA Track & Field Indoor Championships and competing at multiple national-level meets. He recorded a personal-best jump of 8.00 meters (26'3").
Â
Collegiately, Colley was a standout at Widener University, where he earned NCAA Division III Indoor All-America honors in the long jump and qualified for five NCAA National Championships. He was a two-time conference champion, a school record holder in the indoor long jump, and contributed to multiple conference championship teams.
Â
Colley holds a USTFCCCA Certified Strength and Conditioning credential and brings experience in sprint development, hurdle training, and horizontal jumps, along with a focus on speed and power development.
Â
"I'm really looking forward to getting started with King's Track & Field Team," said Colley. "Every athlete here has more in the tank than they realize, and my job is to help them find it and get the most out of themselves when it matters. I'm excited to get to work."
