WOMEN'S BASKETBALL HOSTING 14TH ANNUAL MEET THE PLAYERS DAY
WILKES-BARRE -- King's College women's basketball coach Brian Donoghue has announced the college will be hosting its 14th annual “Meet the Players Day” on Sunday, October 25 in Scandlon Gymnasium.
The players will be introduced to the public for the first time and will then participate in the annual Red-White Intrasquad Scrimmage, set to tip off at 1:00 p.m.
The event is designed to provide family, friends, and supporters of the program with a first-look at the 2009-010 Lady Monarch squad.
King's has qualified for the Freedom Conference Tournament 15 straight years heading into the 2009-10 campaign and will feature one of its youngest teams ever with a combined 14 freshmen and sophomores on its roster. Eight freshman will suit up at King's for the first time on Saturday.
