The Lady Monarchs were able to build a quick 10 point lead to start the first half thanks to two three-pointers by Kaitlyn Fiorino and Jessica Paettie, a jumper from Paige Carlin and Kaitlyn Malshefski lay-up at 14:55 to make the score 10-4.

Brittany Zimmerman then hit a jumper for the Aggies with 0:04 on the clock to cut the King's lead to 41-32 going into the break
In the second-half the scoring continued as the Monarchs built a 13-point lead on four different occasions, including the 12:20 mark when Krystina Durako made a lay-up to give King's 55-42 advantage. The Aggies remained within striking distance, cutting the lead to eight points on six occasions, the final time coming on a Vennera free throw at 2:19 to mark to cut the King's lead to 68-60.
Muscatell would then make four straight foul shots, while Paettie and Carlin combined for four more free throws down the stretch to secure the 76-60 victory for the Lady Monarchs.
Leading the way for the team in scoring was Fiorino with 16 points, including four three-pointers. Freshman forward Julianna Lynott had 12 points and a career-high 15 points in registering her third double-double of the season. Paettie was the only other player in double-figures scoring with13 points. Muscatell tallied nine points with eight assists and now needs only two more assists to register 100 as a freshman. With that mark she would be the first Lady Monarch player to accomplish the feat since Elaine Colyer registered 110 assists during the 1995–96 season.
The Aggies were led by Vennera who had a team high 21 points to go along with eight rebounds. Also scoring in double-figures was Zimmerman who had 12 points and six assists in the game.
Up next for the Lady Monarchs is a road trip to Manhattanville College Tuesday in Purchase, NY. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m.
