WILKES-BARRE, PA (July 2, 2026) -- The King's College women's basketball program has added Gabby Tucker as an assistant coach ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, head coach Caitlin Hadzimichalis announced on Thursday.
Tucker joins the Monarchs following a successful four-year playing career at Manhattanville University. A steady contributor throughout her collegiate career, Tucker appeared in 102 games and grew into a key member of the Valiants' backcourt, contributing as a scorer, facilitator, and defender.
As a senior during the 2025-26 season, Tucker started all 27 games and led Manhattanville in minutes played (35.2 per game), assists (4.3 per game), and steals (2.7 per game). She also averaged 11.6 points and 3.7 rebounds per contest while serving as one of the team's most consistent contributors throughout the season. Her performance earned Skyline Player of the Week honors during the year.
"Gabby is going to be able to provide immediate energy into our team," said Hadzimichalis. "She comes from a well-run program at Manhattanville, and I am excited for her to share her knowledge and experiences with our players as she begins her collegiate coaching journey."
Throughout her career, Tucker demonstrated steady growth and consistency on the court. She finished her collegiate career with 680 points, 288 assists, 198 steals, and 305 rebounds while helping provide leadership and stability for the Valiants.
Off the court, Tucker excelled academically while pursuing a degree in Sport Studies and Communications. She was a multi-year Dean's List selection and Skyline Conference Academic Honor Roll honoree, balancing success in the classroom with the demands of being a collegiate student-athlete.
Tucker also brings experience in practice planning, player development, scouting preparation, video analysis, and recruiting support. Her familiarity with collegiate basketball operations and commitment to student-athlete growth will be valuable assets for the Monarchs.
"I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to join the King's College Women's Basketball program," said Tucker. "As a former collegiate student-athlete, I'm excited to continue being a part of the game that has had such a positive impact on my life."
Tucker added that she is eager to begin working with Monarch student-athletes and continue learning from the coaching staff.
"I am beyond eager to learn from Coach Hadzimichalis while building relationships with the team and helping our student-athletes grow both on and off the court. Go Monarchs!"
Tucker will assist with all aspects of the King's women's basketball program, including recruiting, player development, scouting, practice planning, and game-day operations.
