King's Women's Lacrosse Drops Game to Alvernia

WILKES-BARRE –Felicia Sippell and Sarah George scored four goals each to power visiting Alvernia University to a 21-8 victory over King's College in women's lacrosse action Saturday at McCarthy Stadium in the Betzler Athletic Complex.
 
With the win Alvernia improved to 5-0 while King's slipped to 0-3. Alvernia outshot King's 38-16 and held a 23-18 advantage in ground galls.
 
Candice Russ led the way for King's with four goals, while Taylor Tyne followed with three. Teresa Notaristefano scored her first collegiate goal at 9:57 in the opening half. Goalie Chrissy Keenan made 14 saves in net for the Lady Monarch's.
 
King's now goes on the road to take on Moravian College in 1:00 p.m. game on Saturday.
