LADY MONARCH LAXERS FALL TO NATIONALLY RANKED ELIZABETHTOWN

ELIZABETHTOWN -- The host Elizabethtown College women's lacrosse team showed why it is the 28th ranked team nationally in Division III as the Blue Jays posted a 21-0 victory over King's College in a Middle Atlantic Conference matchup Saturday in Elizabethtown.

With the win, the Blue Jays remained atop the MAC with a 13-2 overall record while standing 9-0 in MAC play. King's, meanwhile, slipped to 0-12 and 0-8 in league games.

The Blue Jays were led by Anna Ford and Kelsea Kozak with three goals and one assist each while Ashley Mogle and Meg Cassels added two goals and two assists apiece.  Sam Redles, Kate Caprinolo and Alisha Sangrey chipped in with two goals each. Jen Hawkins made two saves in the game for Elizabethtown.

King's was led by Nina Magan and Shannon Ellis with two ground balls each while Kat Clerici tallied two caused turnovers. Chrissy Keenan made three saves for the Lady Monarchs.

King's returns to action Monday with a 4:00 p.m. contest in Madison, NJ against FDU-Florham.
