King's Tournament Notes:
The King's men's basketball team enters the 2010-2011 campaign after posting a 12-14 overall record a year ago, including an 8-6 mark in league play. The Monarchs made a trip back to the Freedom Conference Tournament after not qualifying in 2008-09. This season, tenth-year head coach J.P. Andrejko returns three starters and eight letterwinners who are expected to continue to build on the success of last season. Leading the list of veterans is senior co-captain center/forward Kevin Conroy who earned first-team All-Freedom Conference status for the second consecutive year. The 6-5, 240-pound Conroy enjoyed a solid junior year, averaging 14.9 points and 6.0 rebounds while shooting 50.4 percent from the floor. Conroy enters his senior campaign needing just 52 points to become the 25th player to reach the 1,000 point plateau in school history. The Monarchs also welcome back senior co-captain Adam Brasky, who has played in 68 games over the course of his three-year career; Kyle Stackhouse, who averaged 9.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists; Nick Reisig, 5.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 29 three-pointers; Dan Maguschak, 6.5 points and 3.2 rebounds; Matt Fiorino, 4.7 points and 27 three-pointers; and Mike McCready, 4.7 points and 3.2 rebounds.
