KING'S WOMEN'S LACROSSE DROPS CONFERENCE OPENER TO LEBANON VALLEY COLLEGE
Annville -- Hana Krechel scored six goals as the host Lebanon Valley College women's lacrosse team picked up a 18-14 victory over King's College Saturday in Annville.
With the win, Lebanon Valley improved to a 3-1 overall record and 1-0 in the MAC. King's meanwhile fell to 0-4 and 0-1 in league games. Also contributing to the Lebanon Valley scoring was Allison McGinniss with four goals and Rachel Murkey with two goals and one assist. Erica Ameigh made seven saves for the Flying Dutchmen.
Chelsea Manes led King's with six goals while Sarah O'Doherty added three goals and one assist. Krystina Villarreal tallied three goals and one assist for the Lady Monarchs while Andrea Alesso and Allison Gourniak both added one goal each. Junior goalie Rebecca Abruzzese posted 12 saves for the Lady Monarchs.
King's returns to action on Wednesday at McCarthy Stadium at 7:00 p.m. as they take on non-conference foe SUNY New Paltz .
