KING'S LADY LAXERS DEFEATED BY ELIZBETHTOWN
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College women's lacrosse team ran into a buzz saw on Saturday as the Lady Monarchs fell to Middle Atlantic Conference contender Elizabethtown College 20-0 at McCarthy Stadium.
Sarah Cullinan scored five goals with two assists while Stephanie Kreis added three goals and five assist to lead the Blue Jay cause.
King's was outshot 45-13 while Elizabethtown won the ground ball battle 27-17.
Lady Monarch goalie Rebecca Abruzzese made 12 saves. Chelsea Manes had five ground balls and four caused turnovers while Katie Mangan tallied three ground balls.
King's returns to action Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at Susquehanna University.
