KING'S WOMEN'S LAXERS FALL AT SUSQUEHANNA
SELINSGROVE -- Phoebe Nicole scored four goals and added an assist to power host Susquehanna University to a 16-2 victory over King's College in a non-conference women's lacrosse matchup Wednesday in Selinsgrove.
With the win, Susquehanna improved to 6-4 overall while King's fell to 0-7.
Susquehanna built an 11-0 lead until King's broke through when Krystina Villareal scored on a free-position goal with 19:54 remaining in the contest. King's added its final goal when Chelsea Manes scored at the 8:24 mark. Manes and Stephanie Wilde tallied six ground balls apiece while Manes and Shannon Ellis forced three turnovers each.
Erin Dyer and Ally Bauer added three goals each for Susquehanna while six other players scored one goal each.
The Crusaders held a 36-17 advantage in shots while tlleading 32-28 in ground balls.
King's will be idle until April 6 when the Lady Monarchs travel to Purchase, NY to face Manhattanville College.
