KING'S MEN'S TENNIS BLANKS LANCASTER BIBLE, 9-0
 
LANCASTER -- The King's College men's tennis team dropped just 20 games in a combined nine matches as the Monarchs posted a 9-0 victory over host Lancaster Bible College Sunday in Lancaster. 
 
With the win, King's improved to 4-6 on the year while Lancaster Bible fell to 0-7.
 
King's took a 3-0 lead in the team score after doubles as Joe Guza and Marco Stallone posted an 8-2 triumph in the first flight. Teammates Matt Grassi and Pasquale Romano also earned an 8-2 victory in the second flight while Lee Arner and Matt Herr tallied an 8-4 triumph in the number-three flight.
 
In singles, King's won all six matches by a combined score of 72-12 in games won-lost with no Monarch player losing more than three games in any set. Jon Hand registered a 6-3, 6-2 win in the number-one slot while Tim Carroll and Stallone earned identical 6-0, 6-0 victories in the second and fourth positions respectively. Nick Conte and Joe Guza each garnered 6-3, 6-0 wins at the third and fifth single spots while David Chen rounded out the winners with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at number-six singles.
 
King's returns to action Monday with a 2:00 p.m. against Keystone College at Kirby Park.
