KING'S WOMEN'S LAXERS DOWNED BY LYCOMING
WILKES-BARRE -- Grace Gargiulo scored four goals and added an assist to power visiting Lycoming College to a 16-2 victory over host King's College Wednesday night under the lights at McCarthy Stadium.
With the win, Lycoming improved to 5-7 overall and 4-4 in MAC play. King's, meanwhile, fell to 0-10 and 0-5.
Sammi Jo Bell and Megan McIntyre added two goals and two assists apiece while Justine Titko contributed two goals.
Allison Gourniak and Krystina Villareal scored once each for the Lady Monarchs. Rebecca Abruzzese made eight stops in net for King's.
Brittany Bryan made 15 saves in goal for the Warriors.
Lycoming outshot King's 30-22 but the Lady Monarchs held a 33-26 advantage in ground balls. Shannon Ellis led King's with 11 ground balls.
The Lady Monarchs return to action Saturday with a 1:30 p.m. matchup at Eastern University in St. David's
