KING'S WOMEN'S LACROSSE FALLS TO MANHATTANVILLE COLLEGE
PURCHASE- - Darby Webber and Jen Ascencio both scored four goals as the host Manhattanville College women's lacrosse team picked up a 21-11 victory over King's College Tuesday in Purchase.
With the win, Manhattanville improved to a 3-8 overall record and a 3-3 mark in the MAC. King's meanwhile fell to 0-8 and 0-3 in league games. Also contributing to the Manhattanville scoring was Melissa Goncalve with three goals and one assist and Kristy Guichard scored three goals. Kirstin Betsill made five saves for the Valiants.
Krystina Villarreal led King's with six goals while Andrea Alesso added three goals. Chelsea Manes added two goals for the Lady Monarchs. Junior goalie Rebecca Abruzzese posted eight saves for King's.
King's will now be on the road to Grantham on Saturday to take on Messiah College.
