LADY MONARCHS HOSTING WILKES UNIVERSITY, VIEW LIVESTATS
(Game to Benefit the Jaclyn Foundation)
WILKES-BARRE - - The King's College women's lacrosse team will host cross-town conference rival Wilkes University, in the final game of the 2010 season on Saturday at McCarthy Stadium at the Robert L. Betzler Athletic Complex with the game slated to start at 1:00 p.m.
The two teams will be supporting the 'Friends of Jaclyn Foundaton.' The organization's goal is to improve the quality of life for children with pediatric brain tumors, there will be tee-shirts before the game for sale for $15.00 per-shirt.

The King's College women's lacrosse team has a 0-16 overall record and a 0-11 MAC mark after dropping a 19-7 decision to Widener University on Thursday. Freshman Krystina Villarreal leads the team with 29 points on 25 goals and four assists. Freshman Chelsea Manes follows with 28 points on 23 goals and five assists while also contributing 47 ground balls on defense. Freshman Andrea Alesso has 12 points on nine goals and three assists. Junior Allison Gourniak tallies 10 points on 10 goals.
Junior Sarah O'Doherty contributes 10 points on nine goals and one assist. Sophomore Melissa D'Aniello has six points on four goals and two assists while also contributing 37 ground balls on defense. Senior Shannon Ellis has been another defensive leader with 41 ground balls, while Meg Mundy has tallied 31 ground balls while also recording 18 saves in net.
Wilkes stands at 2-12 on the year and 0-11 in MAC play after picking up a 14-13 victory over Lancaster Bible College on Tuesday. Amelia Farnham tops the squad with 27 points on 20 goals and seven assists. Erica Sundberg follows with 24 points on 23 goals and one assist. Stephanie Harkins adds 16 points on 15 goals and one assist while Amanda Tilley also contributes 16 points on 14 goals and two assists. In goal Cassie Cronin has 208 saves in 839:43 minutes.
