LADY MONARCH LAXERS HOST MISERICORDIA WEDNESDAY IN MAC MATCHUP, VIEW LIVESTATS
WILKES-BARRE – The King's College women's lacrosse team looks to get back on track in Middle Atlantic Conference play Wednesday when the Lady Monarchs welcome local rival Misericordia University for a matchup scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at McCarthy Stadium.

King's (2-5, 1-4 MAC) looks to bounce back in conference play after dropping an 18-7 decision against Eastern University on Saturday. Sophomore midfielder Chelsea Manes leads the offense with 26 points on 13 goals and 13 assists. Classmate Krystina Villarreal follows with 24 points on a team-high 20 goals and four helpers. Senior midfielder Sarah O'Doherty posts 16 points on 14 goals and two assists, while sophomore attack Andrea Alesso contributes nine points on five tallies and four assists. Rookie attack Amanda Harney has enjoyed a fine start to her King's career totaling 14 points on 14 goals. King's freshman goalie Megan Withrow has a 15.71 goals against average with 68 saves and a .382 save percentage starting every game in net.
Misericordia (2-7, 0-6 MAC) makes the short trip from Dallas, Pa. following a 20-11 defeat against Widener University on Saturday. Freshman attack Kate Pagnotta tops the Cougars offense with 28 points on 26 goals and two assists. Junior midfielder Emily Foley follows with 21 points on 19 goals and two helpers. Freshman defender Catie Viegas adds 15 points on 12 goals and three assists, while junior midfielder Krista Shenk contributes 12 points on seven goals and five assists. Cougars rookie keeper Colleen Hunt posts a 15.74 goals against average with 54 saves and a .297 save percentage in eight game in net.
Following the contest, King's will take to the road Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. league matchup at Arcadia University.
