KING'S WOMEN'S SWIM TEAM EIGHTH AFTER DAY-ONE OF MAC CHAMPIONSHIPS

Day One Finals Results

WILKES-BARRE -- Sophomore Patricia Manning was the highest individual place-winner for the King's College women's swim team as the Lady Monarchs finished eighth on the opening day of the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships Friday at the Wilkes-Barre C.Y.C.

Manning placed eighth for the Lady Monarchs in the 200-medley with a time of 2:17.27.

In the women's 200 freestyle relay, King's team of Kim Brino, Erin McLin, Amanda Casey, and Shannon Johnson placed seventh with a school-record 1:45.06.

In the women's 400 medley relay, King's team of Erin McLin, Manning, Macawley Brown, and Kim Brino were seventh with a time of 4:17.76. In the race, McLin's leadoff leg was a new school record in the 100-backstroke with a 1:04.85.

Swimming will continue Saturday with preliminaries set for 9:00 a.m.while finals are set to begin following Opening Ceremonies at 5:00 p.m.
