King's Women's Lacrosse Makes Season Debut at Hood
Frederick, MD— The King's College women's lacrosse teams opens its season this Saturday when they make the trip to Frederick, Md. To take on Hood College for a 3:00 p.m. start.

The Lady Monarchs bring back three of their top four scorers from a year ago. Team co-captain
Chelsea Manes tallied a team-high 56 points on 31 goals and 25 assists. The second leading scorer junior Krystina Villareal netted 32 goals and 12 assists for a total of 44 points.
Amanda Harney ranked fourth in scoring as a freshman with 29 points on 22 goals and seven helpers.
On defense the Lady Monarchs are led by junior co-captain
Alyssa Bozzett and sophomore
Jessica Ormrod. Sophmore
Megan Withrow returns in net after making 131 saves in 15 starts last season.
Hood has already played two games this season and are currently 1-1 with a 17-16 victory over Waynesburg and a 20-2 loss last tim out against York.
Senior Kati Vu leads the Blazers in scoring with eight points on five goals and three assists. Bailey Czech has added five goals and a pair of helpers for a total of seven points. Caitlin Lawrence started her junior season with six points on five goals and one assist.
Senior netminder Helene Butler has made 16 saves through the first two games. Junior Kimi Brunot leads the defense with five ground balls.
The Lady Monarchs take on Susquehanna in Baltimore, Md. on March 5. The home opener for King's is March 10 against Cazenovia College at 1:00 p.m.
