KING'S WOMEN'S LAXERS FALL TO ALVERNIA, 20-11
READING – Allison Bainbridge scored five goals to lead the host Alvernia University women's lacrosse team to a 20-11 victory over King's College Tuesday in Reading.
With the loss, King's slipped to 2-2 on the year while Alvernia improved to 1-2.
Amanda Harney topped King's with three goals and one assist while
Catherine McMahon followed with three goals.
Krystina Villarreal contributed two goals while Chelsea manes chipped in with one goal and three assists.
Alvernia outshot King's 42-25 while holding a 25-17 advantage in ground balls. Lady Monarch goalie
Megan Withrow posted 16 saves on the day.
King's returns to action Saturday when the Lady Monarchs host Albright College at 1:00 p.m. at McCarthy Stadium in the Betzler Athletic Complex.
