King's College Women's Laxers Defeat Cedar Crest 15-2
Allentown, Pa.-- The King's College women's lacrosse team out shot host Cedar Crest 34-7 en route to a 15-2 victory Thursday afternoon.
The Lady Monarchs jumped out early getting the the first goal of the game from
Krystina Villarreal at 25:15. That goal sparked a run of seven straight goals before Becca Lowe netted a goal for Cedar Crest to make the score 7-1 at the 9:58 mark in the first half.
King's scored three more times in the first half capped by a
Kaitlyn Gustafson goal on a free position shot with 4:54 to play to give the Lady Monarchs an 11-1 lead going to the locker room.
The second half opened much like the first as the Lady Monarchs tallied three goals including the first career goal for
Megan Withrow, before Cedar Crest got an unassisted tally from Kenzie Bickhart.
Claire Parolski set the final with a goal at the 3:55 mark.
Mariah Masciarelli set the pace for the King's offense netting three goals and an assist for a total of four points.
Chelsea Manes tallied a pair of goals and added a helper.
Emily Foley also had a three point night with a goal and two assists. Villarreal chipped two goals while
Amanda Harney picked up a goal and an assist.
The Lady Monarchs are back in action on Saturday when they make the trip to Lebanon Valley for a non-conference matchup. The game is set for a 1:00 p.m. start.
