HARNEY TIES SCHOOL RECORD WITH 10 POINTS AS KING'S WOMEN'S LAXERS DOWN MISERI, 25-15

DALLAS -- Sophomore Amanda Harney equaled a school with 10 points in one game as the King's College women's lacrosse team posted an important 25-15 Freedom Conference victory over host Misericordia University Wednesday in Dallas.

With the win King's improved to 7-4 overall and 2-0 in Freedom Conference play. Misericordia slipped to 4-8 and 0-2 in league play.

Harney scored six goals and dished one assist in the first half as King's took a 14-8 lead into the break. Krystina Villarreal stepped up in the second half by scoring four of her five goals over the game's final 30 minutes.


Harney finished the contest with seven goals and three assists to become the eighth player in King's history, including the second this season, to score 10 points in a game. Manes also scored seven goals in the game while Villarreal, who tallied 10 points in a game earlier in the season, contributed five points and seven draws.

Mariah Masciarelli netted three goals, Emily Foley posted two goals and four draws, while Catherine McMahon rounded out the King's scorers with one goal. Sophomore goalie Megan Withrow made 11 saves in net.

King's outshot Misericordia 35-32 and made good on 9-of-11 free position scoring chances.

The Lady Monarchs travel to St. Davids on Saturday for a 12:00 noon Freedom Conference matchup.
