KING'S WOMEN'S LAXERS POST 21-11 ROAD WIN OVER CAZENOVIA

CAZENOVIA, NY -- Emily Foley and Krystina Villarreal scored five goals each and the King's College women's lacrosse team built a 13-4 halftime lead en route to a 21-11 victory over host Cazenovia College Saturday in Cazenovia, NY.

With the win, King's improved to 3-4 on the year while Cazenovia slipped to 1-1.

Foley and Villarreal scored the first two Lady Monarch goals as the teams were tied 2-2 with 24:52 left in the first half. But King's exploded for nine straight goals. with four coming from Villarreal and two by Foley as the Lady
Monarchs lead swelled to 11-2 with 3:46 left in the half.

After a Cazenovia goal with 0:27 remaining, King's quickly countered
as Amanda Harney struck net with just 0:06 on the clock to give the Lady Monarchs a 13-4 lead at the break.

King's maintained a comfortale lead throughout the second half as the Lady Monarchs outscored the host team 8-7 the rest of the way as Mariah Masciarelli
led the Lady Monarchs with three goals in the second stanza.

King's outshot Cazenovia 42-16 and held a 20-13 advantage in ground balls. The Lady Monarchs also won 23 of 34 draws.

Foley finished with six points on five goals and one assist while Villarreal had five points on five goals. Masciarelli
also tallied five points on four goals and one assist while Chelsea Manes registered five points on one goal and a team-high four assists. Catherine McMahon and Alexandra Barbara chipped in with two goals apiece. Alisa Marino made three saves for the Lady Monarchs.

Cazenovia was led by Alicia Priest and Kim Vrigian
with four goals each.

King's willbe idle until Satutrday when the Lady Monarchs travel to face the University of Scranton
