Wilkes-Barre, Pa. -- The King's College women's lacrosse team fell to Freedom Conference leader FDU-Florham 16-15 in overtime at McCarthy Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

King's held a 14-10 lead with 6:59 to play in the second half after an unassisted tally by Amanda Harney. The Devils came back with four straight goals including an unassisted marker by Courtney Rendinaro with six seconds to play to tie the game 14-14 and send it to overtime.

In the first extra session Mariah Masciarelli gave the Lady Monarchs a 15-14 lead with a free-position goal at the 59 seconds mark. FDU came back with a pair of goals from Katie Rolwood in the second overtime period to win the game.

The game was back and forth early with the teams trading goals and playing to a 4-4 stalemate with 12:57 remaining in the first half. King's netted the next four goals to open up an 8-4 lead capped by a Chelsea Manes unassisted goal at the 7:21 mark. Rolwood stopped the run with a goal at the 5:13 mark to cut the lead to 8-5. Each team scored once more before the break to give King's a 9-6 halftime edge.

King's pushed the lead to 11-6 after Masciarelli and Manes each scored unassisted goals to start the second half. Rolwood and Rendinaro each scored a pair of goals to cut the lead to 12-10, before Manes and Harney teamed up to extend the King's lead to 14-10 with 6:59 to play.

Manes led the way for King's with six total points on five goals and one assist. Harney finished the day with four goals and one helper for five points. Masciarelli and Krystina Villarreal each tallied two points.

Rolwood paced the Devil offense with seven points on six goals and one assist. Redninaro finished the game with six goals.

Alisa Marino made 12 saves while taking the loss in net while her counterpart Grace Warburton picked up the win making 13 stops.
