King's Women's Lacrosse Falls 15-11 at Susquehanna

KING'S WOMEN'S LAXERS FALL TO SUSQUEHANNA

SELINSGROVE -- The host Susquehanna University women's lacrosse team opened an 11-2 halftime lead and held off a King's College second-half comeback bid as the Crusaders posted a 15-11 win Saturday in Selinsgrove.

With the win Susquehanna improved to 1-2 while King's slipped to 2-2.


Anastasia Ariavakis led King's with five goals, two assists and three round balls. Gabriella Morrocu followed with two goals and an assist while Sarah Almony netted two goals and three ground balls. Amanda Carroll added one goal and three ground balls while Megan O'Brien chipped in with one goal and two ground balls. King's goalie Victoria Zawacki made nine saves in the game.

Kelcie Ehler led Susquehanna with three goals and one assist as nine different Crusader players struck net.

King's hosts Lycoming Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at McCarthy Stadium.
