KING'S WOMEN'S TENNIS BLANKS PENN COLLEGE, 9-0

WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College women's tennis team evened its season record at 1-1 as the Lady Monarchs posted a 9-0 victory over visiting Pennsylvania College of Technology Sunday at Kirby Park.

Alyssa Santarelli won both her matches in singles and doubles. Emily Fernandez, Emily Kabalka, Natalie Coffee, and Cailyn Hillier registered singles wins. Julia Keppel teamed with Santarelli to win in the number-one flight while Diana Rodriguez and Alexis Zalutko were winners in the second flight. King's also picked up forfeits at number-six singles and number-three doubles.  King's dropped just three games in the match.

Fernandez and Santarelli both improved to 4-0 in singles on the year.

King's returns to action Wednesday with a major test as the Lady Monarchs travel to face Division I Lafayette College at 3:30 PM in Easton.
