WILKES-BARRE, PA (November 9, 2018) — King's College was able to sweep the Lebanon Valley College Dutchmen in both the women's and men's resulting in both team's first conference win. The women were victorious 118-86 while the men won 155-18. The swim team was able to notch a first place finish in 17 off the 22 events at tonight's meet.Â

Kicking off the night, the women's team was able to not only win first in the 200 SC meter medley relay but come in third as well.Â

For the men's event, King's rallied and took three of the four finishes. Coming in first was J

Hannah Redding grabbed a second place finish in the women's 800 SC meter freestyle touching the wall in 10:45.33.Â

Siwy earned another first place finish in the 200 free with a time of 2:19.25 whileÂ
Kailie Karensky took second for King's.Â
Stephanie Tabaka came in fourth.Â

King's dominated the men's 200 free taking all three finishes.Â
Rhyce Hammaker topped the bunch with 2:11.42,Â
Chris Boucher took second just eight second behind at 2:19.44 and
Andrew Johnson touched in 2:24.75.

Claire Coe contributed a second place finish in the 50 SC meter freestyle with a time of 29.10, just one second behind the event's top swimmer of LVC.Â
Alyssa Gesek also contributed in the event coming in fourth.Â

Tom Montvydas (27.09) and Boxter (28.25) were the three top finishers for the men.Â

In the ninth event,Â
Kaelyn Gardner swam a 2:41. 05 good enough to earn her first in the 200 meter IM.Â
Abbi Strennen swam just .47 seconds behind the second place finisher to place her at third. Again the men clinched the top three finishes in the 200 meter IM withÂ

Pham and Gesek placed second and third n the 100 butterfly contributing to the King's victory while Groshardt,Â
Joel Williams and Hammaker dominated the men's race grabbing finishes one through three in that order.Â

Good came in with her second first place of the night in the 100 meter freestyle swimming a 1:06.14. Tabaka took third place at 1:10.20 and Redding fourth in 1:10.99.Â
Chris Dionne finished in 57.67 which gave him the top spot, Yerger and Soutter weren't far behind at second and third.Â

Next up was the 100 meter backstroke where Pedersen (1:13.46), Gardner (1:15.37) andÂ
Megan Whitt (1:17.40) took finishes one through three. Higgins (1:07.60) and Weekes (1:08.59) held it down for the Monarchs coming in first and second.

Karensky finished the 400 meter free first while Coe took home second and Boucher,Â
John Kwasizur and Johnson took the three finishing positions for the men.

In the last individual race of the night, the 100 breastroke, Strennen finished second with 1;25.39 andÂ
Kellyo Keane fifth with a 1:32.47. For the men De Asis took first touching the wall in 1:13.75,Â
Matt Lowry grabbed second in 1:20.54 andÂ
Alex Schwartz third in 1:22.70.Â

The final event of the meet was the 200 freestyle relay. King's took first and third for the women while all three men's teams took the top three swims. The team of Coe, Good, Gardner and Siwy were number one for the women while Boucher, Dionne, Parrott and Soutter were first for the men.

The Monarchs return home for a 1:00 p.m. meet against Stevenson University tomorrow, November 10. This will be another conference meet for King's.
