KING'S WOMEN'S TENNIS POSTS 8-1 WIN OVER DELAWARE VALLEY
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College women's tennis team kept their MAC Freedom Conference Tournament aspirations alive as the Lady Monarchs posted a 8-1 victory over visiting Delaware Valley University Saturday at Kirby Park.
With the win King's improved to 4-10 and 2-3 in league matches while the Aggies fell to 4-15 and 0-6.
Emily Fernandez, Emily Kabalka, and Natalie Coffee were all winners in doubles and singles for the Lady Monarchs. Fernandez improved to 14-4 in singles as a freshman with a 6-0, 6-0 triumph. Martina Gale, Alyssa Santarelli, and Thea Seasock also added straight-set singles victories for King's. Fernandez also teamed with Alexis Zalutko for a win at number-one doubles.
King's will host Penn State Abington Sunday at 12:00 noon at Kirby Park
