KING'S WOMEN'S TENNIS TALLIES 7-2 VICTORY OVER ARCADIA
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College women's tennis team used solid play in both singles and doubles to walk away with a 7-2 victory over visiting Arcadia University Sunday at Kirby Park.
With the win King's improved to 3-8 on the season while Arcadia fell to 2-4.
King's won five of the six singles contests played, keyed by freshman
Emily Fernandez who improved to 12-3 with a 6-0, 6-0 triumph in the first flight.
Thea Seasock was also a 6-0, 6-0 victory in the fifth flight while
Diana Rodriguez won 6-0, 6-2 at number-six singles.
Natalie Coffee and
Martina Gale also picked up singles wins.Â
In doubles, Fernandez and Coffee teamed up for an 8-3 triumph while Gale and
Emily Kabalka paired up for a 8-6 victory.
King's will next host Misericordia Wednesday at 3:30 PM at Kirby Park.
