ANNVILLE, PA (April 11, 2022) -- As announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon, King's College baseball senior Shane Beyer has been named MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Week.

Beyer threw a complete-game shutout in his only appearance of the week in a 5-0 win over Delaware Valley on Sunday. Beyer dominated the Aggies facing 23 batters and allowing only two hits and one walk while striking out seven.

Beyer joins fellow-senior Andrew Steidle as a weekly honor recipient from the MAC office as Steidle earned MAC Freedom Player of the Week on March 14. He is also the first Monarch pitcher to be recognized in the weekly awards since Jacob Lupas was tabbed MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Week on March 9, 2020.
