SELINSGROVE, PA (December 9, 2023) -- The King's College men's indoor track and field team saw each of their throwers record personal-best marks to lead the team on day two of the Susquehanna Early Season Invitational and Multi.
 
On the Track
60 Meter Dash
In the packed field of 73 competitors, Jordan Rife finished 25^th overall in 7.38 seconds, and John Babinsky placed second in his heat as he crossed in a personal-best time of 8.21 seconds.
 
200 Meter Dash
Jordan Rife led a trio of Monarchs in the event as he finished 26^th overall in the field of 68 and second in his heat in 24.42 seconds. James Holzschuh had the next best time for King's in 25.66 seconds, and John Babinsky rounded out the runners with an indoor personal-best time of 27.62 seconds.
 
In the Field
High Jump
Jordan Rife finished fifth overall as he cleared a height of 1.72 meters.

Long Jump
James Holzschuh was the lone Monarch in the event as he recorded a mark of 5.69 meters on his first jump of the day.
 
Shot Put
Jet Li Tang was the top finisher for the Monarchs in the event, placing 12^th overall in the field of 34 throwers with a personal-best mark of 12.11 meters on his second attempt. Jev Brauer was the next finisher for King's, recording an indoor-best toss of 8.82 meters on his first attempt, while Ryan Dalton posted a personal-best throw of 8.60 meters on his first attempt.
 
Weight Throw
Jet Li Tang recorded a top-10 finish in the event, placing seventh overall with a personal-best mark of 12.50 meters on his sixth and final throw in the meet.
 
Men's Heptathlon
Travis Lane placed second overall in the heptathlon with a total of 4,149 points. The junior won his heat and finished fifth overall in the 60-meter hurdles in a personal-best time of 9.71 seconds before placing second in the pole vault as he cleared a height of 3.60 meters. Lane finished the heptathlon with a first-place victory in the 1,000-meter run in 2:53.83.

The Monarchs will be off for the holiday break before the team returns out to Selinsgrove for the River Hawk Invitational on Saturday, January 20.
