ITHACA, NY (February 17, 2024) -- Andrew Novrocki now holds the 200 meter dash record, topping a mark previously set in 2020 at the same meet, to highlight the King's College men's indoor track and field team at Cornell's Marc Deneault Invitational on Saturday.
 
On the Track
60 Meter Dash
Jacob Mullery and Jordan Rife took 18^th and 19^th overall, with Mullery finishing in a personal best time of 7.28 seconds and Rife crossing in 7.32 seconds.
 
200 Meter Dash
Andrew Novrocki placed fourth overall in a new program record time of 22.61, surpassing the previous time of 22.72 seconds set by Emmanuel Edoukou at the same meet in 2020. Jacob Mullery was next to finish in a personal best time of 23.92 seconds, while John Babinsky posted a time of 28.13 seconds.
 
800 Meter Run
Tyler Petty was the top King's finisher, placing 12^th in 2:00.12, while Eric Johnson finished in a personal best time of 2:16.92.

Mile
Owen Foytack placed 12^th in 4:27.12, while Eric Johnson recorded a personal best time of 5:00.03.
 
In the Field
High Jump
In the high jump, Jordan Rife cleared a height of 1.70 meters to place sixth overall.
 
Long Jump
The King's trio of Travis Lane, James Holzschuh, and Ameen Jabbar finished in consecutive order, with Lane posting a mark of 5.56 meters on his third attempt. Holzschuh recorded a jump of 5.52 meters, while Jabbar rounded out the competitors with a distance of 5.49 meters.
 
Triple Jump
James Holzschuh was the lone Monarch in the event as he posted a personal best mark of 11.78 meters on his third attempt.
 
Pole Vault
Travis Lane finished in the top 10, clearing a height of 3.90 meters.
 
Shot Put
Jacobo Martinez placed 14^th overall with a personal best mark of 12.66 meters on his second attempt, while Jet Li Tang posted a mark of 11.61 meters on his third try. Ryan Dalton rounded out the Monarch throwers with a personal best toss of 10.21 meters on his second throw.
 
Weight Throw
Jet Li Tang and Jacob Martinez finished neck-and-neck as Tang posted a throw of 12.45 meters on his final try, while Martinez recorded a personal best mark of 11.92 meters on his second attempt.
