Travis Lane shattered the indoor program record in the pole vault, previously set in 2017, as the King's College men's indoor track and field team competed at Alvernia University's PLEX Shootout on Saturday afternoon.

On the Track
60 Meter Dash
In the preliminary heats,
Jordan Rife placed seventh overall and second in his heat with a personal best time of 7.23 seconds to earn a spot in the finals.
Jacob Mullery made his collegiate debut in the event in 7.31 seconds to finish 12
th in the field of 51 and third in his heat, while
Ameen Jabbar crossed in 7.64 seconds.
James Holzschuh (8.04 seconds) and
John Babinsky (8.26 seconds) rounded out the King's competitors in the event, with Holzschuh setting a new personal-best time.

Rife then improved on his preliminary time by 0.02 seconds, finishing in a new personal best time of 7.21 seconds to maintain his seventh-place status in the finals.

200 Meter Dash
Andrew Novrocki placed third both overall and in his heat in 23.25 seconds, while
John Babinsky posted a time of 28.11 seconds.

800 Meter Run
The junior duo of
Owen Foytack and
Tyler Petty took third and fifth, respectively, as Foytack crossed in 1:59.60, while Petty posted a time of 1:59.95.

4x200 Meter Relay
The King's team of
Jordan Rife,
Ameen Jabbar,
James Holzschuh, and
Jacob Mullery placed seventh overall and second in their heat in 1:37.31.

4x400 Meter Relay
The men's team of
Travis Lane,
Owen Foytack,
Tyler Petty, and
Andrew Novrocki placed third overall in 3:34.10.

In the Field
Pole Vault
Travis Lane finished fourth overall out of 14 competitors as he cleared a new indoor program record height of 4.05 meters, surpassing the previous record of 3.85 meters by Matthew Marsh in 2017.

Long Jump
James Holzschuh was the top King's competitor in the event as he recorded a mark of 5.69 meters on his third attempt, while
Ameen Jabbar posted a jump of 5.33 meters on his first try.

Shot Put
Jacob Martinez led the Monarch throwers in the event with a toss of 11.24 meters on his third try, while
Ryan Dalton posted a personal best throw of 9.94 meters on his second throw. Additionally,
Jev Brauer finished the shot put with a personal best mark of 9.24 meters on his first attempt.

Jet Li Tang was the lone Monarch in the weight throw as he finished with a mark of 10.68 meters on his first attempt.
