NEWTOWN, PA (March 4, 2025) -- On Tuesday morning, the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) office began unveiling the 2024-25 All-MAC winter teams, first with the 2024-25 All-MAC Freedom Women's Basketball team. This season, forward Lauren Casey picked up All-MAC Freedom Second Team honors among the 13 honorees.

Casey picks up her second All-MAC Freedom accolades in her career after earning All-MAC Freedom Honorable Mention in 2022-23. She was just one of four players on the team to appear and start in all 25 games this season, leading the squad with 12.2 points and 7.5 rebounds per game with 33 blocks, shooting 47.4% from the floor, and adding 26 assists and 12 steals.

In conference play, Casey ranked eighth in scoring at 13.1 points per contest, seventh in rebounding at 7.4 boards per night, fifth in field goal percentage as she connected for 44.9% from the floor, 11^th in free throw percentage at 73.6%, and sixth in blocks with 19. The local Nanticoke, Pa. product scored double figures in 11 of their MAC Freedom contests with five double doubles. Additionally, she had a career performance in the win at FDU-Florham with 25 points and 17 rebounds to go along with two assists and a block.

Arcadia's Delaney Bell earned MAC Freedom Player of the Year, while Cristina Fernandez of Lebanon Valley tabbed Defensive Player of the Year. FDU-Florham's Bianca Sode collected Rookie of the Year honors, while Arcadia's Jackie Hartzell and Lebanon Valley's Diane Decker both earned Co-Coach of the Year.
