ITHACA, NY (March 8, 2025) -- Owen Foytack's new indoor program record in the mile earned the senior the silver medal in the event to highlight action on day two of the AARTFC Regional Championships at Ithaca College.
 
On the Track
400 Meter Dash
Ava Butcher finished in 1:01.84. Buffalo State's Natalia Sawyer was the top finisher in 56.43 seconds.
 
On the men's side, Andrew Novrocki was the first to cross for the Monarchs in 49.96 seconds to finish second in his heat and 15^th overall out of the 35 runners, while Alek Gorski posted a time of 52.02 seconds. Evan Jensen of Cortland State won the event in 48.65 seconds.
 
Mile
Owen Foytack took second overall in an new indoor program record time of 4:15.04, topping his previous time of 4:16.48 from the D3 Elite Meet. Rochester's Sean Hendircks won the individual title with a time of 4:10.48.
 
In the Field
High Jump
Maddy Armitage finished with a height of 1.52 meters. Houghton's Alexa Belanger was the top finisher with a mark of 1.68 meters.
 
Weight Throw
Katey Shoemaker led a trio of Monarchs in the event as she placed 12^th overall out of 37 competitors with a throw of 14.96 meters on her second attempt. Brandy Varner was next to place with a mark of 13.95 meters on her second try, while Delaney Hilferty finished with a toss of 13.62 meters on her second throw. Lauren Jaklitsch of SUNY Geneseo was the individual medalist with a throw of 17.83 meters.
