CHESTER, PA (May 12, 2025) -- Four different outdoor program records fell on Monday afternoon, while Brandy Varner moved up the rankings in the discus throw as the King's College track and field teams competed at the Widener Final Qualifier on Monday.

On the Track
400 Meter Dash
Alek Gorski posted a time of 50.38 seconds to finish 14th overall in the field of 32. Unattached athlete Jesufifunmi Olugbenga was the top finisher in 47.92 seconds.

800 Meter Run
Preston Klem placed 47th out of 81 runners in a personal best time of 1:56.32. Tor Hotung-Davidsen of Lynchburg led the field with a time of 1:48.30.

1,500 Meter Run
Owen Foytack placed sixth overall out of 71 runners in a new outdoor program record of 3:48.63, beating out his previous time of 3:54.76 from the Bison Outdoor Classic on April 12.. Haverford's Rez Eshghi was the first to cross in 3:44.32.

100 Meter Hurdles
Victoria Zultevicz qualified for a spot in the finals as finished eighth in a new outdoor program record 15.26 seconds, edging out her previous time of 15.28 seconds from the MAC Championships on May 3. Division I Navy's Jia Anderson won the preliminary heats in 13.92 seconds.
Zultevicz then climbed the ranks to finish sixth in the finals in 15.57 seconds. Navy's Anderson topped the field again in 13.93 seconds.
In the Field
Long Jump
Jordan Jones placed 14th overall in the field of 22 with a mark of 6.45 meters. Matthew Su of the Athletic Lab Track Club won the event with a mark of 7.41 meters.
Triple Jump
Kival Clarke finished 11th with a personal best mark of 13.19 meters, while Myles Sampson-Glass placed 12th with a jump of 13.17 meters. Montclair State's Hiven Biffot was the top finisher with a mark of 15.34 meters.
Shot Put
Brandy Varner finished fifth with a toss of 12.17 meters, while Delaney Hilferty took eighth with a throw of 11.16 meters. Lehigh's Grace Aggen won the event with a mark of 13.44 meters.
Discus Throw
Brandy Varner took second in the event as she set a new outdoor program record with a mark of 46.09 meters, topping her previous throw of 44.72 meters from the Bison Outdoor Classic in April 2024. Her mark is also the 12th-best in NCAA Division III after today. Lehigh's Grace Aggen led the field with a toss of 47.11 meters.
Javelin Throw
Tyler Bird placed ninth overall with a new outdoor program-record mark of 53.59 meters, topping his previous mark of 53.07 meters from the Bucknell Outdoor Classic on April 13. Unattached athlete Ethan Shalaway led the field with a throw of 67.75 meters.
Hammer Throw
Katey Shoemaker finished fifth overall with a throw of 49.35 meters, while Delaney Hilferty placed 11th with a toss of 43.61 meters. Katie Stevens of Christopher Newport was the top finisher with a mark of 52.56 meters.
