NEWTOWN, PA (January 14, 2026) — The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) announced the 2026 MAC Men's Wrestling Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll on Wednesday as teams prepare for this weekend's conference championship, scheduled for January 17^th at Messiah University.

Stevens earned the top spot in the poll with 78 points and six first-place votes, narrowly edging Messiah, which finished second with 76 points and four first-place votes.

Defending MAC champion Alvernia was slotted third with 63 points, positioning the Golden Wolves among the top contenders as they look to defend last year's title. Arcadia followed in fourth with 52 points, while Albright rounded out the top five with 43 points.

York placed sixth with 38 points, just ahead of Misericordia in seventh with 34 points. Eastern claimed the eighth spot with 28 points, while King's was picked ninth with 25 points. Delaware Valley completed the poll in tenth with 13 points.

The Monarchs will feature some experience along with a group of newcomers, including Jacob Hachtmann, who placed third in the 174 lb. weight class at the MAC Championships last season. Shane Kibler will represent the Monarchs as the highest ranked NWCA wrestler, having been ranked 4^th in region III earlier this season at 149 lbs. Patrick Horvath will also represent King's as an NWCA ranked wrestler, earning sixth in region III at 125. MJ Turi will look to improve on his sixth-place finish last season at the MAC Championships as teammate Alex Ballantyne looks to improve on his fifth-place finish.

Cole Anderson and Angel Avalos return for another crack at a podium finish at the 2026 MAC Championships as Sid O'Donnell, Christian Borges, Jacob Torres, Brian Hopkins, Connor Knight, Mason Mordan, Michael Zaunczkowski, Luke Palladino, Josh Brown, Jacob Lance and Sam Moffett step into their debut at the MAC Championships.
