Men's Indoor Track & Field Turns in Balanced Effort at Nazareth Challenge Cup

ROCHESTER, NY (January 31, 2026) – The King's College men's track and field team competed at the Nazareth Conference Challenge Cup on Saturday afternoon, claiming 10th of 15 scoring teams with 18 points, led by a top conference time along with multiple top five and top ten finishes.

In the field events, Brady Rutkoski finished 22nd overall in the weight throw with a toss of 12.50m, while teammates Daniel Mattey and Joey Schneider placed 27th and 28th respectively at 11.73m and 11.61m.

Mattey and Schneider additionally placed 18th and 19th in the shot put, as Mattey threw to 11.93m and Schneider throwing to the mark of 11.85m.

In the triple jump, Kival Clarke finished second overall with a mark of 13.20m, while Jordan Jones placed sixth at 12.39m. In the long jump, Jones earned fifth overall at 6.44m and Clarke followed in ninth at 6.22m.

In the track events, Joseph Rossi ran a time of 16:37 in the 5000m, earning seventh for the event. Josh Malone finished third in his heat and 16th overall in the 60m hurdles at 9.11.
 
Alek Gorski earned second in his heat and 23rd overall in the 400 meter dash at 52.18 while teammate Jarett Hoch came in 51st at 56.14.

In the mile, Owen Foytack placed sixth out of 44 runners with a time of 4:20.57. Foytack's time positions him in first in the MAC mile performance chart for the indoor season.

Preston Klem earned ninth out of the 70 runner field in the 800 meter race with a time of 1:58.27. Ryan Baxter, Ben Wnuk, and Casimir Glaude each placed second in their respective heats as Baxter ran a time of 2:01.47 (26th), Wnuk in 2:03.89 (33rd), and Glaude at 2:08.87 (46th).

Jacob Mullery wrapped up the day by running 23.64 to place 23rd in the 200‑meter dash, while Evan Galavage stopped the clock at 24.25 for 32nd and Dary Pichardo followed in 46th at 25.11.

The King's men's indoor track and field squad resumes competition on Saturday, February 7, heading to Ursinus College for the Frank Colden Invitational in Collegeville, PA.
