ITHACA, NY (February 21, 2026) – The King's College men's track and field team competed at Cornell University's Marc Deneault Memorial Invitational on Saturday, as the Monarchs had a strong showing against DI, DII, and DIII competition, highlighted by a school record.
On the field,
Brady Rutkoski claimed 15th in the weight throw with a toss of 13.06m, while
Daniel Mattey earned 20th in the shot put by posting a throw of 12.06m.
In the triple jump,
Kival Clarke claimed fifth with a personal best jump of 13.22m. In the long jump, Phillip Oden placed 11th overall with a personal best leap of 6.13m.
Cody Miller placed fifth overall in the high jump at 1.88m, while
Robert Santos earned ninth at 1.78m.
On the track,
Josh Malone posted a personal best and school record in the 60-meter hurdles with a time 8.80, as he placed 12th overall in the event. Malone's performance was additionally .34 seconds faster than his original.
In the 60-meter dash,
Jacob Mullery earned second in his heat and 11th overall at 7.15, while teammate
Kival Clarke finished fourth in his heat and 26th overall with a personal best of 7.37.
Dary Pichardo placed sixth in his heat and 42nd overall crossing the line at 7.62 and
Nathan Patla received 49th at 7.79.
Mullery, Pichardo, and
Evan Galavage all set personal best times in the 200-meter dash. Mullery placed second in his heat and 18th overall at 23.22, Galavage placed fourth in his heat and 34th overall, and Pichardo got 44th overall and fifth in his heat at 25.07.
Preston Klem showed a strong performance in the mile as he placed fifth overall with a personal best time of 4:20.03, nearly ten seconds faster than his previous standard.
In the 400-meter dash,
Alek Gorski claimed second in his heat and fifth overall at 51:21 while teammate Galavage posted fifth in his heat and 23rd overall at 54.39,
Casimir Glaude crossed the line at 55.00 earning fifth in his heat and 28th overall.
Ben Wnuk received 17th overall in the 800-meter run at 2:03.18 as Jarrett Hoch placed 33rd at 2:11.30. In the 3,000m, Vincent Fazzino and
Noah Kolinovsky placed 23rd and 24
th respectively with times of 10:39.14 and 11:07.27.
The Monarchs ended the day with a third place finish in the 4x400 relay, as the squad of Gorski, Glaude, Wnuk, and Klem ran a time of 3:34.36.
The King's College track and field team returns to action Friday, February 27 at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships hosted by Alvernia University at 12:00 p.m.
