COLLEGEVILLE, PA (February 7, 2026) – The King's College men's track and field team competed at the Frank Colden Invitational on Saturday afternoon, as the Monarchs saw personal and seasonal bests from across the board at the Floy Lewis Blakes Center.
In the field events,
Jordan Jones started off the day by breaking his own school record in the long jump, which was previously set at the Frank Colden Invitational last year. Jones took first in the event with a leap of 6.89m, breaking his initial standout by .11 meters.
Brady Rutkoski,
Jacob Martinez,
Daniel Mattey, and Joey Schnieder all set personal best marks in the weight throw. Rutkowski earned 10th with a toss of 13.59m, Martinez placed 13th at 13.53m, Mattey claimed 16th at 12.29m, and Schneider threw 11.82m to reach 21st.
In the high jump,
Philliph Oden broke his own record with a leap of 1.70m, while
Kival Clarke topped the triple jump at 13.55m. Mattey placed 10th with a personal record toss of 12.59m in the shot put, while Schnieder claimed 21st at 11.38m, and Rutkowski placed 27th with a personal best throw of 10.97m.
In the track events,
Jacob Mullery earned first in his heat with a qualifying time of 7:19 in the 60-meter prelims, as his performance was additionally the fifth best time out of 96 sprinters. Mullery finished seventh overall in the 60-meter dash finals with an even faster time of 7.16.
The event included more Monarchs running impressive times, as Clarke ran a personal best time of 7.42 as he placed second in his heat and 29th overall, while
Josh Malone sprinted a season best time of 7.50 and claimed third in his heat and 40th overall.
Evan Galavage crossed the line in 7.59 to receive 48th and fourth in his heat, while teammate
Dary Pichardo ran a personal best time of 7.61 to earn 50th and fourth in his heat.
Casimir Glaude posted a time of 55.36 to claim 18th overall in the 400-meter dash, while
John Gillespie ran a personal best time of 57.40 crossing the line in 34th.
In the 200-meter dash,
Alek Gorski claimed ninth out of 87 sprinters at 23.70, while teammates Pichardo and
Nathan Patla finished in 50th and 63rd respectively with times of 25.38 and 25.94.
In the 4x200 meter relay, the group of Mullery, Jones, Galavage, and Gorski won the event with a time of 1:34.69, nearly .5 seconds away from breaking the school record.
The Monarchs capped off the day with a third-place finish in the 4x400 relay, as the squad of Glaude, Gillespie, Jarrett Hoch, and
Victor Cocchiaro ran a time of 3:51.33.
King's returns to the track next Friday, February 13 as the Monarchs head to Boston, MA for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University.
