GRANTHAM, PA/LEWISBURG, PA (April 11, 2026) – The King's College men's outdoor track & field team delivered several strong performances this afternoon at the Messiah Invitational.
Preston Klem added to the Monarchs' highlights with a solid showing at the Bison Outdoor Classic hosted by Bucknell University, competing at Christy Mathewson–Memorial Stadium against a field featuring Division I, II, and III programs.
Bison Outdoor Classic
Preston Klem started off the day by placing ninth in his heat and 130th overall in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:58.70.
Messiah Invitational
In the track events,
Joseph Rossi placed 20th in the 5,000-meter run by crossing the line in 17:21.48, while teammate Vincent Fazzino earned 23rd at 17:59.01.
The squad of
Dary Pichardo,
Kival Clarke,
Jordan Jones, and
Jacob Mullery finished seventh overall in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 43.99 seconds.
In the 100-meter dash, Pichardo crossed the line at 11.76 to earn 55th,
Nathan Patla took 65th by stopping the clock at 12.10, and
James Mann got 80th at 13.28.
Sebastian Williams ran a time of 4:38.40 to earn 38th overall in the 1500-meter run.
Pichardo posted a 60th place finish with a time of 24.12, while teammates Patla and
Victor Cocchiaro ran times of 24.39 and 24.60 to earn 60th and 69th respectively.
Evan Galavage finished 20th overall in the 400-meter dash at 52.13,
Casimir Glaude earned 37th at 54.18, Jarrett Hoch placed 39th at 54.60, and Cocchiaro finished in 46th at 58.69.
In the 800 meters,
Ben Wnuk was the top finisher in the event as he placed 10th overall with a personal best time of 2:01.04, two seconds faster than his original performance.
Cohen Claar placed 26th overall by crossing the line in 2:04.71, and
John Gillespie posted a time of 2:17.25 to earn 62nd.
The quartet of Galavage, Wnuk, Glaude, and Claar ended the day with a sixth-place finish in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:35.11.
In the field events,
Philliph Oden earned 16th in the high jump at 1.72 meters, while placing 19th overall in the long jump with a leap of 5.87 meters.
Kival Clarke set a personal best in the triple jump, as he placed fourth at 13.68 meters. Clarke's performance was .23 meters better than his original.
In the shot put,
Daniel Mattey earned 35th at 11.67 meters,
Brady Rutkoski posted a throw 10.96 meters to earn 48th,
Joey Schneider took 51st at 10.68 meters,
Jev Brauer got 63rd with a toss of 9.73 meters, and
Kacy Miller placed 71st at 8.37 meters.
Josh Brown came in 24th in the discus throw with a toss of 36.82 meters, Rutkoski earned 30th at 36.10 meters, Mattey placed 32nd with a throw of 35.72 meters, and Schneider took 37th 34.95 meters.
In the javelin throw,
Tyler Bird claimed 12th overall with a toss of 51.12 meters. Rutkoski earned 48th at 35.11 meters, Schneider posted a throw of 34.69 meters to claim 50th, Cocchiaro got 52nd at 33.92 meters, and Miller placed 54th at 32.97 meters.
The King's men's outdoor track and field team finished 19th overall out of 25 teams with 10 points. Messiah won the meet with 105 points.
The Monarchs return to action on Saturday, April 17, as they compete at the Paul Donahue Invitational hosted by Widener University at the George A. Hansell Track & Field Stadium.
Jacob Mullery will also compete on day two of the Bison Outdoor Classic, racing in the 100‑meter dash at 2:15 p.m.
