GRANTHAM, PA (April 9, 2026)— King's College junior
Josh Malone showed a solid performance on Thursday afternoon in the decathlon on day one of the Messiah Multi & Invitational at the Starry Outdoor Track & Field stadium hosted by Messiah University.
Malone began the first day of the outdoor decathlon by finishing fourth in the men's 100-meter dash with a time of 11.85 seconds. He went on to place eighth in the shot put with a personal best throw of 9.36 meters, breaking his original performance by nine meters.
In the high jump, Malone earned tenth with a leap of 1.57 meters and closed day one out in the 400-meter dash by crossing the line in sixth at 55.18. Malone currently sits in eleventh with 2,161 points.
The junior standout returns to action tomorrow, April 10 at 12:00 p.m., as he starts off day two of the decathlon with the 110-meter hurdles. The rest of the King's College men's outdoor track and field team additionally begin to compete at the Messiah Multi & Invitational on Friday with the discus throw and the 10,000-meter run.
