Clarke Sets School Record in the Triple Jump as Monarchs Show Strong Performances on Day Three of MAC Outdoor Championships

GRANTHAM, PA (May 2, 2026) -- The King's College men's track and field team returned to action Saturday for the third and final day of the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the Starry Outdoor Track and Field Stadium, hosted by Messiah University. A school-record performance from Kival Clarke in the triple jump capped the Monarchs' strong showing.
 
The Monarchs tied for tenth overall with 30 points alongside Alvernia, highlighted by one school record and a few podium placements. Lebanon Valley won the conference title with a team score of 150 points.
 
The group of Dary Pichardo, Jordan Jones, Evan Galavage, and Jacob Mullery kicked off the day by earning the bronze medal to capture Third Team All-MAC in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 42.79.
 
Preston Klem continued his excellent season by earning a bronze medal in the 1,500 meter run, clocking in a time of 3:58.57.
 
Clarke took home the bronze medal in the triple jump by setting a personal best and school record with a leap of 14.13 meters. Clarke breaks Myles Sampson-Glass's record of 14.09 meters from last year by .4 meters.
 
The Monarchs ended the day by posting a fifth-place podium finish in the 4x400 meter relay, as the squad of Evan Galavage, Cohen Claar, Preston Klem, and Casimir Glaude ran a time of 3:24.12.
 
King's returns to action at the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Championships on Wednesday, May 13, at Patterson Field in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, hosted by Ursinus College. A select group of Monarchs will compete at the Widener Final Qualifier on May 11, at the George A. Hansell Track and Field stadium in Chester, Pennsylvania, hosted by Widener University.
