King's Lax Falls to Host DeSales

KING'S MEN'S LAXERS FALL TO DESALES

CENTER VALLEY -- Host DeSales University pushed across the game-winning goal with just 1:22 remaining as the Bulldogs posted an 8-7 victory over King's College in Middle Atlantic Conference men's lacrosse action Saturday in Center Valley.

With the win, DeSales improved to 6-7 overall and 1-3 in the MAC while King's slipped to 3-6 and 0-4 in league play.

The Monarchs trailed 7-6 midway through the fourth quarter but Chris Landry scored two goals in a 0:46 span, the final coming with 3:21 remaining to tie the game at 7-7. But Whit Bruemmer would break through with an unassisted goal to give DeSales the lead for good.


Landry led King's with five goals and one assist while John Doran and Keith Hoernberger also scored one apiece. Rusty Booth had three assists while Ryan Lachner and Hoernberger also added assists. Andrew Bartle made 14 saves in goal for the Monarchs.
