Buckingham Named to All-MAC Freedom Second Team

NEWTOWN, PA (May 7, 2026)—The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) office released the 2026 All-MAC Freedom Men's Lacrosse team Thursday morning with sophomore Braydon Buckingham receiving All-MAC Freedom Second Team Honors as a Long Pole Midfielder under the leadership of fourth-year head coach AJ Bungert.

The Second Team All-MAC Freedom nomination is the first in the career of Buckingham. The Prior Lake, MN native appeared in 12 games and started in 10 for the Monarchs this season while pacing the Monarchs with 87 ground balls and 24 caused turnovers. Buckingham was second in the conference in ground balls per game with 7.25 and fourth in caused turnovers per game with 2.00. This season, he set statistical career highs in every category, making a huge leap from last season. His best game of the season was a 2 goal, 1 assist, 10 ground ball, and 3 caused turnover performance against Delaware Valley with a 1.000 shot on goal percentage. Buckingham ended the season on a tear, recording 52 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers in the team's last five games.

The major awards were dominated by Stevens this season as Matt Pergola was named Attackman of the Year, Adam DeCristofaro won Midfielder of the Year, Luke Lesizza won Defenseman of the Year, Will Giarrusso won Specialist of the Year, Michael Jannotte won Goalie of the Year, Michael Jannotte was named Co-Rookie of the Year with Misericordia's Jack Simone, and Gene Peluso was named Coach of the Year.
