KING'S WOMEN'S LACROSSE FALLS TO WIDENER
CHESTER – Jackie Elliott and Grace Cavanaugh combined for eight goals to lead the Widener University women's lacrosse team to a 20-6 victory over King's College Saturday at the Leslie C. Quick Jr. Stadium.
With the win, Widener improved to 4-5 overall and 1-3 in the Middle Atlantic Conference. King's meanwhile slipped to 0-7 and 0-4 in the conference.
Elliott netted five goals and two assists while Cavanaugh added three goals and two assist to lead the Pride attack. Mellany Broomall contributed with three goals with five other players all scoring one goal each. Goalie Linda Salcedo made five saves while playing in the first half while Shelley O'Neill added four stops in the second half.
