KING'S MEN'S LACROSSE POSTS BIG WIN OVER LEBANON VALLEY
WILKES-BARRE -- The King's College men's lacrosse team opened the 2010 Middle Atlantic Conference campaign with a big 15-3 victory over visiting Lebanon Valley College Wednesday in McCarthy Stadium.
The Monarchs exploded for a 7-1 lead after the first quarter of play and held leads of 10-2 at the half and 14-3 after three quarters of play.
Dan Carducci scored four goals with an assist while Brendan Novotny also had four goals to power the Monarchs. Rusty Booth was outstanding with three goals and three assists. Curtis Reinard contributed two goals and one assist while Lenny Fox and Evan Seward netted one goal each.
The Monarchs held a 44-10 advantage in shots while also owning a 40-27 lead in ground balls.'s goalie
King's goalie Kenny Cernuto was forced to make just three saves in the contest. Matt Jester had six ground balls while Carducci, Zach Druhm, and Rich Brower added four each.
The Monarchs will now travel to face MAC rival Elizabethtown College Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
