MONARCHS LACROSSE TRAVELING TO WIDENER UNIVERSITY, VIEW LIVESTATS

 

WILKES-BARRE - - The King's College men's lacrosse team is traveling to Widener University in Middle Atlantic Conference action on Wednesday. Face-off is slated for 7:00 p.m.

King's enters the game with a 3-3 overall record and a 1-1 conference mark after dropping a 14-4 decision to Elizabethtown on Saturday. Brendan Novotny, Dan Carducci and Rusty Booth all lead the Monarchs in scoring with 16 points each. Freshman Lenny Fox follows with 14 points on seven goals and seven assists. Senior Curtis Reinard follows with nine points on seven goals and two assists. Sophomore Jason Merola adds six points on five goals and one assist. Freshman Kenny Cernuto has logged 307:11 minutes thus far for the Monarchs in the net, making 42 saves for a 8.40 GAA.

 

The Widener men's lacrosse team enters today's game with a 2-4 overall record and a 1-1 conference mark after picking up a 15-3 victory over Lebanon Valley on Saturday. Cory Malampy leads the team with 19 points on 13 goals and six assists. Mike Vandergrift follows with nine points on six goals and three assists. Steve Cull and Andrew Janusz add eight points each. Johnny Casey and Kevin McLemore both tally six points each. Nate Meyer and Ryan Shewell both chip in with five points each. Goalie Kevin Carney has played 188:27 minutes for the Pride, while recording a 11.46 GAA with 38 saves.
